What kind of classes do you teach?
HoodFit: a high energy dance cardio + toning class that will have you smiling & sweating all at the same time!
Where were you raised and where do you currently live? Age, if ok.
I was raised in Ft. Worth, Texas and I currently reside in Hollywood.
What motivates you to get up in the morning?
Honestly my clients. I love my job and I love that I get to wake up and teach/isnpire people to live healthy positive lifestyles and help them to become stronger physically and more confident in their skin.
Is there a book you’re reading right now?
Eeeeek I know this sounds horrible but I'm not one for reading books. My ADD can't keep me focused, but I love a good motivational podcast ;-)
If you could only do two workouts a week, what would it be?
My HoodFit workout and running. I love distance running.
Is there a teacher that you love learning from?
Yes, I love learning from my fellow friend and master teacher Sydney Benner. I have watched her build her own business and she seriously delivers the most uplifting workout classes that leave you feeling so empowered. She inspires me on a daily basis and I'm so lucky to have her in my life.
What is your favorite way to spend a day outdoors?
I looooove a good day at the beach with my hubby. Or if was stay in town we like to walk down for brunch at Franklin Village or hit the local farmers market.
Are there any charities you support?
Yes I volunteer my time for an organization called Art of Elysium which empowers artists and communities of need to join together and emotionally triumph over their circumstance through art. My husband and I also support Watoto which helps transform lives of women and kids in Africa.
Where can we find you teaching classes?
You can find me teaching HoodFit classes on Saturday mornings at various locations in LA. Follow my IG @hoodfit_ to stay in the know. I also teach dance cardio classes on a live streaming fitness app called Victorious which you can download on your phone or computer.
Last, what is in your gym bag?
What isn't in my gym bag?! Deodorant, chapstick, hand sanitizer, tampons, towel, water bottle, resistance bands, wallet, sunglasses, protein bars(of all kinds), sooooo many snacks! I train clients all day long so I live out of my gym bag and need all of the basic essentials.
