Meet Dennisse Morales
What kind of classes do you teach? Hatha Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Yoga Stretch, Vinyasa, and Flow.
Where were you raised and where do you currently live? Age, if ok. I was born in Hollywood and raised primarily in the valley. I currently reside in Burbank. I have been here since we moved when I was 17.
What motivates you to get up in the morning? Love of life. My daily rituals. My commitments to myself.
Is there a book you’re reading right now? Untethered Soul and Awakening Shatki.
If you could only do two workouts a week, what would it be? A well rounded and challenging yoga practice.
Is there a teacher that you love learning from? Christy Marsden, Schuyler Grant, Adriene Mishler, Mary Beth LaRue are my current and constant teachers.
What is your favorite way to spend a day outdoors? Hiking in the wilderness without a map or plan and letting my intuition guide me. Also immersed in warm, clear, tropical waters.
Are there any charities you support? ADA, Friends of the Earth currently. In the past green peace, humane society, aspca.
Where can we find you teaching classes? Mainly in people’s homes. Occasionally in my backyard. Every Tuesday at Morales Holistic Wellness center in Downey.
Last, what is in your gym bag? Water, zip fizz, straps, blocks, blankets, tennis balls, headphones, speaker, playground ball, Schmidt’s charcoal and magnesium deodorant, change of clothes.
